ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY
This policy distinguishes lawful aviation and geospatial research from uses that create safety, privacy, abuse, or service-integrity risk.
LAST UPDATED JUNE 27, 2026
SCOPE
This Acceptable Use Policy applies to HEXBIRD accounts, workspaces, chat, saved investigations, exports, MCP access, HTTP API access, support channels, and any automated or manual use of the service.
You are responsible for activity under your account, team seats, API tokens, MCP authorizations, passkeys, and integrations. If you use HEXBIRD for an organization, you are responsible for ensuring authorized users follow this policy.
RELATIONSHIP TO THE TERMS
This Acceptable Use Policy is part of and incorporated into the HEXBIRD Terms of Service. Capitalized terms have the meanings given in the Terms, and violating this policy is a violation of the Terms.
The examples in this policy are illustrative, not exhaustive. Wiseman Applied Intelligence LLC may determine, in its reasonable discretion, that other conduct creates safety, privacy, abuse, legal, or service-integrity risk and is therefore prohibited.
LEGITIMATE RESEARCH
HEXBIRD may be used for lawful aviation, geospatial, journalistic, academic, compliance, safety, infrastructure, emergency-planning, environmental, fleet, insurance, investigative, and public-interest research.
Legitimate research can include studying flight history, safety events, aircraft ownership context, airspace, infrastructure, public records, and data quality when the work is lawful and does not target people for harm.
HARASSMENT, STALKING, AND DOXXING
You may not use HEXBIRD to harass, stalk, threaten, intimidate, shame, blackmail, or physically endanger any person or group.
You may not use HEXBIRD to publish or compile personal information for doxxing, targeted harassment, unwanted contact, or real-time physical targeting of private persons.
PRIVATE PERSONS AND DEANONYMIZATION
You may not use HEXBIRD to attempt to deanonymize, identify, profile, locate, or track a private person unless you have a lawful and legitimate basis to do so.
You may not combine HEXBIRD output with other sources to infer a private person’s home, workplace, daily routine, travel pattern, medical visit, school attendance, place of worship, or other sensitive personal activity for harmful or invasive purposes.
UNAUTHORIZED SURVEILLANCE
You may not use HEXBIRD for unauthorized surveillance, persistent monitoring of a person without a lawful basis, or targeting that creates a credible risk of physical, financial, reputational, or emotional harm.
You may not use HEXBIRD to plan, coordinate, or enable violence, theft, sabotage, trespass, disruption, or other unlawful activity against aircraft, operators, facilities, infrastructure, events, or people.
DOWNSTREAM USE AND DATA PROTECTION
You are responsible for how you use, store, share, and republish HEXBIRD output. If you combine HEXBIRD output with other data or distribute it, you are responsible for that downstream use, including any personal data it contains.
Where you act as a controller of personal data derived from HEXBIRD, you must comply with applicable data-protection and privacy laws, including providing any required notices and honoring individuals’ rights. Do not use HEXBIRD output in ways that are unlawful or that you could not lawfully carry out yourself.
LAW ENFORCEMENT, COURT, AND REGULATORY EVASION
You may not use HEXBIRD to evade law enforcement, court orders, sanctions, export controls, aviation restrictions, safety restrictions, protective orders, or other legal or regulatory obligations.
You may not use HEXBIRD to help another person avoid lawful monitoring, capture, service of process, compliance duties, or enforcement action.
ILLEGAL CONTENT AND ACTIVITY
You may not use HEXBIRD to create, store, transmit, or facilitate content or activity that is illegal under applicable law, or to further any unlawful scheme. You may not submit content you are not legally permitted to provide.
ABUSE OF SERVICE
You may not attack, overload, probe, disrupt, scrape, crawl, enumerate, reverse engineer, or bypass HEXBIRD systems except through expressly authorized interfaces and within your plan limits.
You may not evade rate limits, usage meters, seat limits, plan restrictions, token controls, access controls, robots controls, billing controls, or suspension decisions.
MALWARE, SPAM, AND FRAUD
You may not use HEXBIRD to distribute malware, viruses, or other harmful code, to send spam or unsolicited bulk messages, or to conduct phishing, deception, or fraud against any person.
You may not submit prompts, uploads, or other content that contain malicious code or are intended to compromise HEXBIRD, its users, or third parties.
CREDENTIALS AND RESALE
You may not share credentials outside authorized users, pool accounts, sell access, sublicense access, provide a competing hosted interface, or use your account as a pass-through service for unaffiliated third parties.
You must promptly revoke API tokens, MCP authorizations, passkeys, or team access that are no longer needed or may have been compromised.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
You may not use HEXBIRD to infringe, misappropriate, or violate the intellectual property, trade-secret, contractual, or other rights of any third party. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights needed for any content you submit and for your use of the output.
AUTOMATION AND LOAD
Automated use must stay within documented API, MCP, quota, and rate-limit boundaries. Do not run workloads that degrade HEXBIRD, impose unreasonable cost, or interfere with other users.
If your research needs higher volume, bulk access, or unusual query patterns, contact the operator before running the workload.
ENFORCEMENT
Wiseman Applied Intelligence LLC may investigate suspected misuse and may throttle usage, suspend accounts, revoke API tokens, revoke MCP authorizations, disable exports, require changes, decline renewal, or terminate access.
We may preserve records, notify affected parties, or report activity to service providers, regulators, or law enforcement when we believe it is necessary to protect the service, users, third parties, or the public.
We may, but are not obligated to, monitor use of the service for compliance with this policy, and we are not responsible for users’ conduct.
REPORTING
Report suspected abuse, compromised credentials, or safety concerns to abuse@hexbird.io or through the support contact published on the site. Include enough detail for the operator to investigate, without sending sensitive personal information unless necessary.
CHANGES
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy as HEXBIRD changes, as data sources or risks change, or as legal and safety needs require. Continued use after changes become effective means the updated policy applies.
