Use browser chat

Browser chat is the fastest way to start using HEXBIRD. The aviation sources, query tools, and investigation instructions are already connected, so you can move from a question to evidence without configuring an external client.

For almost all ongoing use, however, an MCP client is the better interface. MCP uses less of your HEXBIRD quota, lets you choose the latest frontier model available in your client, and makes it easier to cross-correlate HEXBIRD results with personal datasets or local files. Use browser chat when zero-configuration access matters most; connect MCP when you want substantially more usage or a deeper research workflow.

Start an investigation

Open HEXBIRD chat, create a conversation, and describe what you want to establish. Include a registration, callsign, hex address, date range, or geographic boundary when you have one.

You can refine the investigation over several turns. HEXBIRD retains the conversation context, so follow-up prompts can refer to aircraft, events, or result sets already identified.

Attach working material

Upload files when they contain context the aviation sources do not: a screenshot, a CSV, a report draft, or notes from another source. Say how the file should be used and which statements should be independently checked.

Do not upload credentials, API keys, or material you are not authorized to share.

Ask for a durable result

Chat can return prose, tables, maps, charts, dossiers, and self-contained HTML artifacts. Be explicit about the audience and output:

Create a report of your findings as a HEXBIRD artifact. Include a timeline, a map of both tracks, and a table of Resolution Advisory messages.

Artifacts live separately from the conversation so they can be revised, opened full-screen, and shared without exposing the entire chat.

Share or export

Use a share link when another person needs to read the result in HEXBIRD. Export when the work needs to enter another archive or writing workflow. Review the output before sharing: generated analysis can contain mistakes even when the underlying query results are correct.

When to use another surface

• Use an MCP client for most sustained investigations, especially when quota efficiency, frontier-model choice, or joins with personal data matter.
